Here is a quick card today for a little more fall inspiration. This card features the new Tim Holtz Textured Leaves Texture Fade and Mini Blueprints stamps. This card is a quick card to create that has lots of texture.
Cut a piece of smooth cream cardstock to 8.5″x5.5″. Fold the cardstock in half to create a top fold card. Tear a piece of green Tim Holtz Kraft Core Cardstock to fit the front of the card, making it slightly smaller. Place the cardstock in the Texture Fade and emboss it. After embossing, sand over the cardstock to distress the raised design and reveal the kraft core of the cardstock. Use an ink blending tool to apply Vintage Photo Distress Ink to the edges of the cardstock and to some of the embossed areas.
Stamp two leaf designs on Ranger Specialty Stamping Paper using Jet Black Archival Ink. Color the stamped images using Distress Markers. Blend the colors with a waterbrush for a watercolor effect.
Use the edge of a ruler to tear against to trim the images down leaving a thin border around the stamped image. Adhere the two images to a piece of Tim Holtz Tissue Wrap leaving about 1/4″ between the two. Tear the Tissue Wrap against the edge of a ruler to trim the Tissue wrap down about 1/4″ around the stamped pieces.
Adhere the piece of tissue wrap with the stamped pieces attached to it to the piece of embossed cardstock. Pierce a hole in each corner of the stamped pieces piercing through the Tissue Wrap and cardstock. Place a Long Fastener (brad) through each hole. Flatten the prongs on the backside of the cardstock.
Adhere the embossed cardstock to the front of the card. Curl the edges up slightly to add a bit of dimension.
Quick and simple but with lots of texture and so very fall.
