Are you ready for a little fall inspiration? If so, I hope this set of four cards will do the trick! They feature Tim Holtz’s Stampers Anonymous Autumn Blueprint stamps. I absolutely love the new Blueprint series of stamps!
I created this set of cards for CHA to showcase the new Stamp2Cut cartridges that goes with new stamps by Tim.
I used the same products and design on each card which made creating a whole set to showcase the images fast and easy.
For each card, create the base of the card by cutting a piece of Tim Holtz Core’dinations Kraft Core Cardstock to 8.5″x5.5″. Fold the cardstock in half to create a top fold card. Place one side of the card inside the Textured Leaves Texture Fade and ran it through your die cut machine to emboss it. I used an ink blending tool to apply ink lightly to the raised leaf designs.
Stamp each design twice on Ranger’s Specialty Stamping Paper using Jet Black Archival Ink. Cut one of the images so that it has about 1/4″ border around the image on each side. Cut the second image out along the stamped edge of the leaf or acorn. To cut my images quickly and precisely, I used the Stamp2Cut system for the Sizzix eclips. The detail it gave the edges of each leaf is amazing!
To color the leaves, I used an ink blending tool and assorted colors of brown and orange Distress Inks. Color the center stems of each leaf using a Distress Ink Marker. After inking, mist water onto your hand and flick it onto the image to create a splattered look.
Use an ink blending tool to apply a brown Distress Ink to the edges of the square stamped images. While the ink is still wet, dip the edges of the paper into clear embossing powder. Heat the embossing powder to melt it. Adhere the squares to the card fronts. Use the Stamp2Cut to cut out the labels for each leaf.
Ink the edges of the labels with Distress Ink and adhere the to the label to the stamped image.
Use an ink blending tool to rub ink onto dry smooth crinkle ribbon. Use the same colors of ink from the stamped leaves. Mist the ribbon with water just enough to blend the colors. Heat dry the ribbon (without crinkling it). Wrap around the card front over the stamped background piece.
Tie the ribbon in a bow near the edge. Add a staple on each side. Insert a mini safety-pin through the bow.
The last step is to adhere the leaves to each card over their matching image and over the ribbon band.
I love how the spritz and flick technique looks on the Specialty Stamping Paper. It is always a cool looking effect, but it is even more pronounced on this awesome paper. Such a great look that is so easy to do!
