Today I have a holiday themed card to share with you that is a quick and easy stamped card. It features the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Classic Favorites set number 10. The card was quite literally from the sentiment in the stamp set.
To begin, I created a card from kraft cardstock. The size could easily be adjusted to whatever size of card you prefer to work with. Use an ink blending tool to apply Vintage Photo Distress Ink to the edges of the card. Dry the ink with a heat tool. Stamp the pine bough image randomly over the front of the card with Pine Needles Distress Ink. While the ink is still wet, sprinkle the card front with clear embossing powder. Tap off the excess powder. Heat the powder to melt it.
Ink the tag stamp with Fired Brick Distress Ink. Ink over the red ink with Black Soot Distress Ink along the outer edges of the tag and string. Stamp the image on manila cardstock. While the ink is wet, sprinkle clear embossing powder over the image. Tap off the excess powder. Heat the powder to melt it. Stamp the sentiment in the center of the tag using Black soot Distress Ink. Again, while the ink is wet, sprinkle clear embossing powder over the stamped sentiment. Tap off the excess and heat to melt.
Apply Vintage Photo, Old Paper, and Antique Linen Distress Stains to the tag image to add color variation to the tag. Mist with water to blend the stain colors. Dry the stains with a heat tool. For a bit of sparkle, mist the tag with Biscotti Perfect Pearls Mist. Blot away any excess mist with a dry cloth and dry with a heat tool. Cut out the image with scissors.
If needed, you can use a Distress Ink Marker to fill in more red to the reinforcer on the tag.
Cut a small slit in the fold of the card. Feed Paper String though the slit. Tie the string around the card like a package. Tie the tag to the front of the card with the string. Adhere the tag to the front of the card with an adhesive foam square to lift it off of the front of the card and to hold it securely.
I like how simple this card is to create while still having some nice details. It would be an easy design to re-create and make multiples of.
