Today I have another quick holiday themed card that is super fast and easy to create. To create this card, cut a piece of cardstock to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″. Fold the cardstock in half so that it creates a top fold card. Use an ink blending tool to apply Vintage Photo Distress Ink to the edges of the card. Cut a piece of pattern paper to 5″ x 4″. Use an ink blending tool to apply Vintage Photo Distress Ink the edges of the pattern paper. Center and adhere the paper to the front of the card. Add a border of machine stitching around the pattern paper.
Cut a piece of manila cardstock to 3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″. (You could also use a pre-cut ATC sized card or a piece of colored cardstock.) Use an ink blending tool to apply shades of green Distress Inks to the manila cardstock. Apply Vintage Photo Distress Ink to the edges of the manila cardstock. Cut a piece of pattern paper to 3 1/4″ x 2 1/4″. Use an ink blending tool to apply Vintage Photo Distress Ink the edges of the pattern paper. Center and adhere the pattern paper piece onto the inked manila piece. Wrap the two assembled pieces with Paper String and tie in a bow. Add a tag die cut from manila cardstock using the Tim Holtz Tiny Tabs die. Ink the edges of the tag and two Chit Chat Stickers. Place the stickers on the tag. Adhere the tag to the “package”. Adhere the assembled package to the front of the card.
Select Alpha Parts letters to create a sentiment for the card. Place the selected letters onto a non-stick craft sheet. Use a white paint dabber to apply paint to the top of the letters. Allow the paint to air dry. To seal the paint onto the letters, squirt some Glossy Accents onto the craft sheet. Use a small square of Cut & Dry Foam to dab the Glossy Accents onto the surface of the letters. A light coat will not take long to dry and will seal the paint onto the letters and make it more durable. Finish off by adhering the letters onto the card front.
Super quick! I have a few more holiday cards to share this week, so if you are still looking for ideas, be sure to check back this week!
