I really love this tag and envelope set. It is so simple, but so cute and different than your standard card. I imagine that anyone that would receive it would agree!
Begin by trimming the top of a Kraft Glassine Tag Envelope so that the top edge of the envelope sits just below the hole of the tag. Use an On the Edge die to give the top of the envelope extra detail. Stamp the front of the envelope with the Cupcake Blueprint stamp using Jet Black Archival Ink.
Stamp three of the cupcake images on Specialty Stamping Paper. Cut different layers and details of the cupcakes out. I cut mine using my eclips machine using Stamp2Cut. Add color to the cupcake wrapper using Antique Linen Distress Ink with an ink blending tool. Mist water onto your hand and flick it onto the ink to speckle and move it. Dry the ink with a heat tool. Accent the lines on the stamped image using a Vintage Photo Distress Marker. Apply Vintage Photo Distress Ink to the edges of the wrapper.
Apply Picked Raspberry Distress Ink the cupcake top using an ink blending tool. Flick water onto the ink to speckle and move it. Dry the ink with a heat tool. Use a Craft Nib Holder and a Cut and Dry Pen Nib dipped into Picked Raspberry Distress Ink to apply ink onto the lines of the stamp design to create accents. Apply Vintage Photo Distress Ink to the edges using an ink blending tool. Apply wet glue to the swirls in the cupcake. Sprinkle with Clear Rock Candy Dry Stickles to look like sugar sprinkles.
Color the candle Picked Raspberry Distress Ink using the pen nib and Scattered Straw and Vintage Photo Distress Markers. Apply Vintage Photo Distress Ink to the edges using an ink blending tool.
Layer the pieces together and adhere to the front of the envelope, lining up the assembled piece to the stamped image below.
To create the tag for the inside, emboss a border of stars across the top of the tag just below the hole. Use an ink blending tool to apply Picked Raspberry and Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the edge sof the tag and onto the stars. Stamp a sentiment using Jet Black Archival Ink below the stars.
Mist water onto your hand. Flick the water onto the tag to speckle the ink. Use a heat too to dry the water and ink.
Use an ink blending tool to apply a dark border of Vintage Photo Distress Ink to the edges.
Apply adhesive (a glue stick will work best) over the raised stars. Sprinkle Clear Rock Candy Dry Stickles onto the glue.
Dye crinkle ribbon with Picked Raspberry and Vintage Photo Distress Stains. Blend the colors with water. Dry the ribbon with a heat tool. Tie the ribbon to the top of the tag. Tie the ribbon off in a knot. Add a Trinket Pin to the knot in the ribbon.
I love how much variation of the Picked Raspberry color you can get by adding water or by layering Vintage Photo over it. This tag was a fun one and really pretty quick to create. I love that it is a different take on the birthday card.
