Happy Thursday! Today I am sharing another Crafty Throw Back Thursday project. I am digging into my archives for projects to share. If you are a long time reader, you may remember this project. If you are new to my blog, it will be something new to you! If you viewed the video of my studio or read the blog post about it, you might remember seeing this project in my studio.
After doing design work in the industry for nearly a decade, there are tons of projects I have made and forgotten or given away or tore apart and recycled- especially with bulky home decor projects. I used to do only home decor projects so as you can imagine, I ran out of room fast and had to get rid of many of them.
But this project is different. It wasn’t about an assignment or a trade show sample, it was just about creating something from my heart. Those are truly the best projects! When I made it, every single element I chose was about celebrating the memory of my great-grandparents, Honey and Grampy. This is one project that I will never be able to part with, I truly love it. This, being able to make something that includes my heart and love for someone with my hands is what I love about crafting. What a beautiful thing to be able to honor the memory of someone so special with something I have made.
If you want to read more about the project and see more photos, you can find it here: Honey and Grampy Shadowbox Frame.
