Happy Thursday! On Thursdays I like to do a little thing I call Crafty Throw Back Thursday where I take a look back at a past project or tutorial. It is a great way for you to see some older tutorials you may have missed or revisit one you may have forgotten about. This week, I am throwing it back to November 2012 with this Tattered Poinsettia Tag featuring the Tattered Poinsettia die by Tim Holtz. This tag was inspired by a card I made for CHA when this die was released. If you are looking for Christmas card and tag inspiration, I think you will love them both!
Even two years later I still love this tag and think of it as one of my all time favorites. I love the texture of the embossing on the canvas background. I love that it adds a base for the flowers and greenery layered on it while also being the background pattern. Most of all though, I love the flower.
I love the dimension you get from this flower. It always amazes me of what you can make from die cut cardstock and inks. Check out the tutorial for the step-by-step photos of this tag from beginning to end.
