I thought it would be fun to pop every so often with a super quick post with a fun tip or fun fact about my creative world. Today a quick fun fact…
This week’s tutorial featured my Picnic embossing folder and Big Woodgrain stamp. Did you know that I created both of those products from photos of real items in my home? As I was creating my products, it was really important to include bits of things from my life so I used things close to me that I love!
I created Picnic from an image of the basket weave on this wonderful chippy vintage picnic basket I got last year while junking in Indiana. I knew I had to have it the second I saw it! What a bonus that it is my favorite vintage paint color!
I used a photograph of this very spot on my living room floor to create Big Woodgrain. I really wanted a great woodgrain pattern stamp and decided what better place to find one than in my vintage home? When you use this stamp, I hope that it makes you smile knowing that you are including a bit of my 1923 little yellow bungalow in your art!
