Hey friends! I am back again today with another quick card featuring one of my new winter/holiday stamps from Spellbinders! This card features the new Cold Hands Warm Hearts stamp which includes a smaller version of those cutie cute mittens.
This stamp is a bit larger (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ ish) I knew it wouldn’t leave much room to embellish much so I went with a simple layered card. To add a bit if texture, I used corrugated paper for a layer which i tore and curled in a few places. I used an ink blending tool to ink all the edges using with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.
- Base Card 10 1/4″ x 6 1/2″, folded in half to create a side fold card.
- Pattern Paper- 5″ x 6 1/4″
- Corrugated Paper- 5 3/4″ x 4 1/2″
- Stamped Image- 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it with assorted Copic Markers. I added Glossy Accents to the centers of the snowflakes. I accented the letters and hearts with Wink of Stella Glitter Brush in Clear. Sadly, the Glossy Accents and Wink of Stella don’t show up well in photos. You will have to trust me that it adds a great touch to the card in person.
I also added a bow to the side of the stamped image using a soft blue vintage seam binding from my stash.
This stamp design is one of my most favorites so far! I love that it is not specific to any of the holidays making it great for those who like a card that is a little more generic or those like me who can’t get their Christmas cards done and sent before Christmas. If you are always late like me, it works all winter long! I think you could even sneak it in for Valentine’s Day if you have a cold climate in February like me.
Be sure to ask your favorite local or online store to see if they will be getting the collection. It is also available online in Spellbinder’s online shop. I will be back tomorrow with another project from the collection. I hope you will check it out!
