I am back again today with a card featuring another of my new winter holiday stamps. The stamp I am featuring today is my new Joy To The World stamp. This design started with the globe. I drew it for another project and found myself wishing I had an ornament that was a globe. There was something about the idea of what the ornaments we place on our tree mean, things like peace, love, joy, merriment… all things that I find myself wishing for our world.
To create this card, I layered the following pieces:
- Card Base: 4 1/4″ x 11″, folded in half to create a side fold 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card.
- Pattern Paper (brown gingham): 5 3/8″ w x 4″ h
- Vellum: 3 3/4″ w x 5 1/8″ h
- Mat (silver): 3 3/4″ diameter circle
- Stamped Image: 3 3 1/2″ w diameter circle
I also added a strip of red and silver ribbon with a small simple bow. I brushed the edges of each piece with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink using an ink blending tool.
For the stamped image, I stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. I colored the stamped image with assorted colors of Copic Markers. I added shimmer to the star Crackle Accents (Glossy Accents that cracks).
Be sure to ask your favorite local or online store to see if they will be getting the collection. It is also available online in Spellbinder’s online shop. I will be back tomorrow with another project from the collection. I hope you will check it out!
