I love the little project I have to share with you today! It is quick and easy, which is a big plus, but more important, it is super versatile! You could use it as a card or as a mini book. It combines my Mini File Folder and Waterfall dies to create a mini book or card that has lots of space for photos and sentiments!
To create the card/book, I first die cut a mini file folder from cream-colored cardstock. I cut a piece of pattern paper with die to cover just the front cover. I adhered the pattern paper to the file folder cover and added a bit of machine stitching around the edge.
I stamped the Thinking of You stamp on smooth cardstock and colored it with a water brush and Distress Markers for a watercolor look. I cut the stamped image to fit on the front of the file folder and adhered it with adhesive.
I added a scrap of Crinkle Ribbon to a paper clip and slipped it on the front cover to look like it is holding the stamped image on. You can also use it to hold the folder closed.
Inside the folder I added a stack of Waterfall pages using the pinked edged die fro the Waterfalls Two set. Isn’t it fun that the Waterfalls fit inside the folder? I mixed and matched fun gingham and polka dot pattern papers (all the papers shown are from Echo Park/Carta Bella) and vellum the Waterfalls.
To use the little book, simply add photos and journal blocks to the Waterfall pages. They are a great way to add pages that are interactive without adding a lot of bulk to a card or page.
How easy was that? I love that these two dies work so well together and make it so easy to create something fun!
